Sion Littledyke

Sion Littledyke is a composer / producer with an eclectic approach to writing music and his style has developed from a combination of classical and contemporary influences. Sion’s music frequently encompasses diverse genres such as rock, electronica, jazz and world music, enabling him to work to a range of stylistic requests, whilst retaining a sound that is both original and creative.

Sion studied at Leeds University and since graduating with a 1st class honours degree in music has gained a wide range of writing experience for both broadcast and performance, working in areas such as film, documentary, animation, and dance. Credits include: music for visual media (including Alternative Focus Media, Anonymous Room Productions, Drugs Action Team, Fieldov, KGB Productions, Port 11 Media); dance commissions (including Phoenix Dance Theatre, Wardrobe Dance, Ascendance Rep); and co – writer / session artist for French producers Useless and Yult Koldmane. As an instrumentalist Sion has performed sessions for various companies including the BBC, J2 Productions, EB Music and LJ Astin. He also has extensive live performance experience having toured throughout the UK and Europe, and has played alongside artists as diverse as Geno Washington, The Scratch Perverts, The Selector, Smith and Mighty, and The Jools Holland Rhythm and Blues Orchestra. As an educator Sion has worked for numerous UK music institutions including Access To Music. Among the instruments Sion plays are guitar / bass guitar, keyboards, mandolin, sitar, percussion.
