Vernon Woodward

Vernon Woodward grew up in South London and by the age of ten was performing with his brother around the social clubs and pubs singing and playing songs by his heroes Stevie Wonder, , Billy Paul and Smokie Robinson.

Leaving school he began writing and recording his own material and was signed to a major publishing deal with Carlin Music. This led to a recording and production deal with Nigel Wright ( Music Director of X Factor ) which helped him develop a broad and commercial production style.

This collaboration helped to develop his production and arranging skills that, as well as serving him in the studio, gave him the opportunity to tour the world as a musical director in his own right and work with his all time hero, Stevie Wonder.

He has a vast amount of TV credits from his library catalogue including Match Of The Day, The Bill, Eastenders, City Gardener, Hollyoaks, Blue Peter, GMTV.

Vernon is an integral part of Active Music and its future. We have an unshakeable belief in his all round musical ability as well as him being an inspiration to work with.
