How to Use This Site

Welcome to Active, the non MCPS production music site with over 50,000 pieces of original music from Classical to Grunge.

You don’t have to be a member to start exploring this site although by becoming a member we’ll keep you continually updated of all new and exciting developments and additions to our catalogue plus any special offers or promotions.

By clicking on any of the buttons on the left hand side under SEARCH BY MUSIC CATEGORY you will be presented with a whole host of music categories.

It is advisable to fill out your Login details as soon as possible to really enjoy the benefits and flexibility of the site and utilize the creative features like MY PROJECTS.

Once you have found what you’re looking for you are given the option to create a project. In simple terms a project is a place where you can keep tracks that you have selected for a specific production. It means you can make a large selection of potential tracks WITHOUT committing to downloading them. Once you’ve finished searching you can then review the contents of the project, select to download those you want and delete those that you don’t.

You can set up multiple projects as you go along which gives you the freedom to put to one side tracks that you stumble upon for unrelated projects. These will always remain under the drop down MY PROJECTS once you have signed in. This means that you can download or delete them at any stage AFTER you have saved them to a project. This is a great way of working in advance.

Buying your music is really simple. If you go to MUSIC CHARGES you will see the three possible ways to buy music or the simple method of buying sound effects ( SFX & FATFX ).

There are a variety of ways to download the music and once you have made your purchase you can select from a variety of audio settings including high quality WAV’s or reduced bandwidth MP3’s and everything else in between these two extremes. These will download under normal circumstances straight to your desk top
